Is there a way to make 'zoom out project' only zoom out to the longest visible track? As it works of the shelf it zoom out to hidden tracks too. My workflow is so that I often record a jamsession fiddling with synths, circuit bent toys, effects and/or use field recordings. Afterwards I cut snippets from those and arrange them on multiple tracks to build a composition. At some point in that proces I usually hide those raw material tracks from the TCP and MCP. But I prefer to have them at hand, if I want to make a new clip from one of them. Sometimes there might be markers associated with them too, further right than the visible tracks have items.

Kenny - can you just provide this custom shortcut as a download? With instruction on how to install on our PC? Sorry, I am a bit of a clutz with setting up.

Looks really good but it doesn't work for me as you show it. I've done the process 3 times over and it will do a different adjustment depending on where i am zoomed in at. It never zooms the whole project

How do you make chapter points in a mp3 long file with various songs

Ιi tried it, but in the end all tracks are selected. Then i added the action "Track: Unselect (clear selection of) all tracks" before the ""SWS: Restore saved track selection" and works perfect!

What action do you use for adjusting volume? Is it action or am i mising something? Maybe I can find some info about it on your channel... Thank you for your video. Very useful, as always.

for some reason it never restores my track selection. It will keep all tracks selected.

When pasting a comment to Item Notes on track, is there a way to paste the comment to all selected tracks at once? In old Reaper I could do that but now I have to paste individually and I can't find setting to change that.

Hi Kenny! I fiddled with zooming preferences after seeing your previous video on the subject and now my zoom behavior is really odd! Whatever vertical option I choose in preferences, it zooms on the upper and lower tracks only, and not on the center! Any idea what could be?

Is it possible to create multiple comps and split them into their own tracks?

Is there anyway to set up/change the defaults so each new track is automatically sending output to both hardware output AND rearoute? I'm sick of having to to select it for each new track each time. After streaming on Twitch I realize afterwards my new guitar track wasn't send in the mix to OBS at all because I forgot to output the new track to rearoute.

The first setting I need is how to make text bigger. Everything is so small. Also I don't understand why no DAW has a feature that zooms plugins to make them look bigger. Even if they lose quality of image at least they would be readable. Scaling is so messed up with everything and no DAW has an answer.

Anyone, is there any way to remove the track icons in Reaper? I did a cursory search of the Reaper forums but came up empty 😛

WARNING ‼️ If you keep multiple versions of a song by saving them with a new name and follow these steps it not only deletes the files associated with the active project…but all files in the project folder not associated with it. I paid dearly by losing stems of a final mix.

Hey, Kenny, do you know of any way to completely disable Ctrl + Mousewheel as vertical zoom? I removed it from the action shortcut, but it still works. Your video gave me the idea to set the Maximum vertical zoom (in Zoom/Scroll?Offset prefs) to 0% and now it has effectively disabled vertical zooming in of the track height, but I can still use Ctrl + Mousewheel to shrink the track height. The reason I want to disable it completely is because I like to set different tracks to certain heights (I only do midi so I don't need to zoom in to see waveforms), and I often trigger Ctrl + Mousewheel accidentally and mess up my track heights and I hate that. Haven't found a solution anywhere, so I thought of a Hail Mary on your video :) thanks.
